The Healing Space
The Healing Space is a grief support group that offers students a safe environment to be vulnerable while experiencing love and support from those around them. When I was invited into the project, I was given full creative freedom to explore its visual identity.
During the brainstorming phase, I was inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi—the practice of mending broken pottery using urushi lacquer mixed with powdered gold. Rather than hiding the cracks, Kintsugi highlights them, honoring the object’s history and making it more beautiful because of the breakage.
This concept felt like the perfect visual metaphor. The logo became a reminder that brokenness can be repaired—and that through healing, even our scars can become symbols of beauty, value, and restoration.

But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD…
